Tim’s concept suggestion of forming free-standing stonework, natural granite columns and huge boulders, instead of formal stone and mortar so much better suits our west-coast environment. It forms a perfect terracing for the natural solid basalt live-edge rock stairway.
We must also thank our site foreman, Aaron, for his artful mastery in selecting, rotating and delicate positioning of each individual boulder with a 12-ton backhoe. Also for moving our 16ft Palm tree, which has thankfully survived the trauma.
Your entire crew were so very friendly, accommodating and professional during this installation while still in the height of our COVID-19 challenges.
